2016 Lake in the Hills Rotary Rockin' RibFest proceeds fund numerous local organizations and projects. During the months of April and May 2017, not-for-profit organizations all over McHenry county were given the opportunity to submit grant proposals for a share of $19,000 in grant awards.
On May 17th, the Rotary Club of Lake in the Hills' members worked in a team-style format to choose the grant winners from three categories; TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) Support, Continued Support (Grant winners from last year showing a continuum of service) and Major Support. No project could be supported from the organization's ongoing operational budget. Organizations were encouraged to apply for support of new initiatives or to increase the impact of an existing program and to 'think outside the box'.  With a record number of applications received, the decisions were not easy - there were many worthwhile projects to consider. We are proud to announce the 2016-17 Grant recipients are:
TEAM Support Grant - $5,000
~TLS Veterans & Veterans Assistance Commission
