What Is Rotary?

As a Member of the Lake in the Hills Rotary Club, we follow the Rotary International Four Way Test. Rotary's motto is Service Above Self, and Rotarians pursue Five Areas of Service: Club Service, Vocational Service, Community Service, International Service and Next Generations.
Rotary is a worldwide network of inspired individuals who translate their passions into relevant social causes to change lives in communities. There are 34,000 Rotary Clubs thourghout the world. Each Club identifies opportunities for service projects both locally and internationally.
What's Involved In Becoming a Member?
Membership is open to anyone who is service minded who live or work in the Lake in the Hills area, or have a strong connection to our community. Members include local business owners, educators, community and non-profit organization leaders, volunteers. Basically, anyone who is interested in making our community and world a better place.
What Does It Cost To Be a Member?
Members are billed $150 quarterly. This includes dues and meals during club meetings at Moretti's Ristorante in Lake in the Hills. Our Club's primary fundraiser is the Lake in the Hills Rotary Rockin' Ribfest which provides tremendous support for our service projects.
